The test is a milestone for the company as it’s the first time, that the search giant attempts to add vacation rentals as a lodging category alongside hotels. How could property owners try to get listed in Google search automatically? It seems, that some vacation rental owners who have posted a business listing on Google Places and Google Maps were automatically included in the search results. Vacation rental metasearch players, such as Tripping.com and AllTheRooms.com should be on the alert. Current shortcomings Google has to fix: 1.
